Copyright is the protection on certain things on the internet or any kind of media. Copyright can be placed on books, movies, music, pretty much anything. There have been countless amounts of lawsuits filed on people who try to copy and steal someone else's music. There are multiple sites on the internet where you can get free musics and movies (The Pirate Bay, Megaupload, Limewire, Frostwire, BTJunkie). Recently, Megaupload has been shut down by SOPA (a bill that is trying to majorly censor the internet). It is illegal to share music using Peer-to-peer methods. It is also illegal to publicly display movies or music with anyone (large amounts of people.
